This space is built on reverence and respect, and that includes how your personal information is cared for. This Privacy Policy explains what Melissa Rae, LLC ("Melissa Rae," "I," "me," or "my") collects when you visit connectwithmel.com (the "Site"), join my email community, or take part in my courses, mentorship, events, and pilgrimages, and how that information is used and protected.

1. Information I collect

Information you share with me directly:

• Name, email address, and phone number when you join the Intimate Insider list, submit the contact form, or register for an offering
• Billing details when you purchase (payments are handled by a secure third-party payment processor; I never see or store your full card number)
• Information you choose to share for events, retreats, pilgrimages, or mentorship, such as dietary needs, emergency contacts, travel details, or relevant health and wellness information
• Anything you write to me by email, message, or form

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, and time spent on the Site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies used by my website, email, and analytics platforms
• Whether you open or click my emails

2. How I use your information

• To deliver the courses, mentorship, events, and resources you sign up for
• To send the emails you asked for
• To process payments and send receipts
• To respond to your messages and requests
• To plan events and pilgrimages safely, including accommodations and emergency preparedness
• To understand how the Site is used so I can improve it
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

3. Sensitive and health information

For some offerings, you may choose to share health or wellness details so I can support you well and keep gatherings safe. I use this information only for that purpose, share it only with those who need it to support you (such as retreat venues or medical providers in an emergency), and keep it no longer than needed.

4. Who I share information with

I share information only with trusted service providers who help run this work, and only as needed:

• Website hosting provider — to run and secure the Site
• Payment processor — to process purchases securely (I never see or store your full card number)
• Email, checkout, and client management platform — to send emails, manage registrations, and support you as a client
• Event partners — venues, guides, and travel partners for retreats and pilgrimages, limited to what they need to host you
• Legal or safety needs — when required by law, or to protect the safety of you or others

5. Affiliate and referral links

I am an independent distributor for Young Living Essential Oils, Wyld Notes and Healy. I also share other brands and products on the Site, in my blog, and in my emails. Some of these links are affiliate or referral links through which I may receive a commission, product credit, rewards, or other benefits (I'll note when this applies); others carry no connection at all.

When you click these links or purchase through them, those companies may collect your information under their own privacy policies. Please review their policies, since I don't control how they handle your data.

6. Cookies

Cookies help the Site function and help me understand what is useful. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.

7. Email choices

You can unsubscribe from my emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message. I may still send transactional messages, such as receipts or details for an event you registered for.

8. How long I keep information

I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required for legal, tax, and accounting records. After that, it is deleted or anonymized.

9. How I protect information

I use reputable platforms with industry-standard security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security, but I take care to protect what you share.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email hello@connectwithmel.com. I will respond within the time required by applicable law.

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom: I process your information based on your consent (such as joining my email list), to fulfill a contract with you (such as delivering a course), or for legitimate business interests. Your information may be transferred to and stored in the United States. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

If you are in California: You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, and to request deletion. I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. The Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

11. Children

The Site and offerings are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has shared information with me, please contact me and I will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as the work grows. The effective date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will be shared by email or on the Site.
